The MCA course is to provide comprehensive knowledge of computer science with emphasis on applications together with a judicious blend of technical skills. The duration of the MCA course extends over six semesters, spreading up equally over three academic years. The students have to go through 25 theory subjects along with the 20 subject’s effectiveness lab. Students also have to go through an 6 months Industry Training on real life projects during the six semesters. The courses are imparted in the duration of five semesters and sixth semester is dedicated to an internship programe. Evaluation of each course is done out of 100 marks, with 20 percent based on internal evaluation and 80 percent on the examination conducted by RTU. In SIT, a variety of learning tools are used for the acquisition of knowledge and skills. Role-play, Case study, Project work, Field experience, Assignments, Quiz, Seminars, Industry visits etc. are some of the methods used. The defining features of the MCA curriculum provide exposure to cutting-edge technology given to the students.

Graduate from any recognized University with at least 50% marks (45 % for SC/ST/OBC) with Mathematics as one of the subject either at graduation or in 10+2 and or appeared in RMCAAT
Admission Process
85% seats through RMCAAT Examination, and 15% seats by the Management as per existing guidelines.
