Computer software is the product that software engineers design and build.
It encompasses programs that execute within a computer of any size and architecture,
Documents that encompass hard-copy and virtual forms, and data that combine numbers and text but also include representations of pictorial, video and audio information.
Software engineers built it and virtually every one in the industrialized world uses it, either directly or indirectly.
Software is very important because it affects nearly every aspect of our lives and has become pervasive in our commerce, our culture and our every day activities.
In software engineering lab we use the JAVA language. JAVA is a general purpose, object oriented programming language developed by Sun Mircrosoft of USA in 1991. JAVA is really simple, reliable, portable and powerful language.
The most striking feature of the language is that plateform neutral language. JAVA is the first programming language that is not tied to any particular hardware or operating system.
Program developed in JAVA can be executed anywhere on any system.
