India is the land of immense potential The Nation demands efficient engineers to be engaged in Natioal activities, in evey aspect. This only can brings winds of change in development of our country. Shankara Institute of Technology has taken up the task of producing new age technologies, in its over all aspects. Building a new breed of engineers which are technologically advanced and creatively ignited. Only such generation of engineers will help our country to be the fore runner in the era of 21st century.

The requirement of professionally qualified engineers for the nation is steadily increasing, particularly after the introduction of liberalisation policy by the Government of India in 1991. The present availability of seats, in various Engineering College, in the northern part of the country, is limited. The young boys and girls go far away places even up to southern part of country, which has been creating lot of problems for the students ad parents in this region.

The S.K. Chaudhary Education Trust has stood up to meet the requirements of the people of Rajasthan and thus the establishment of "Shankara Institute of Technology" at Kukas, Jaipur. The College, is now, in its seventh year and will meet the requirement, to a great extent, in most important branches of Engineering subject for the first year and some extent for the second year.

I am grateful to the Authorities in the State Government, University of Rajasthan, A.I.C.T.E. and other establishment who have given me and the Trustees enough moral support and guidance to bring up this College into a modem Institution to impart the best quality education to the growing and young generation of the country.
