It is science of measurements we have to go one step ahead and bother ourselves about the correctness of measurements also. we have to see whether the result is given with sufficient accuracy or correctness. It includes aspects both theoretical and practical with reference to measurements. It is not restricted only to standard of length and mass but others parameters in sectors of social concern such as health, safety and environment also. The Metrologist have to understand the underlying principles to be able to designed develop new instruments and also to use available instruments in best way. It is concerned with methods and estimation of accuracy of measurements. We are having all the equipments necessary for a well developed metrology lab.
